Kevin Mahoney, CFP®
I got into this line of work in 1996 at the age 23 with delusions of grandeur that included a large home, a boat, golf in the afternoons, cigars and a Porsche in the garage. Well, I was due for a reality check and some maturity.
I realized my work is far more fulfilling than it would have been had my delusions come true. What really gets me up in the morning is helping clients solve life’s financial challenges, creating a greater sense of financial security for clients, forging great relationships, and bringing integrity to a service that needs it.
Oh, and by the way, I can’t stand cigars, I owned a boat once and the cliché “the best two days of being a boat owner are the day you buy it and the day you sell it” were very true for me, I’m very satisfied with my Carmel sized home, golfing about once a month, having a Jeep in my driveway, and spending most of my time outside of work with my wife and four wonderful kids.
I joined Integris in 2009, became a partner in 2012 and focus on legacy and incapacity planning, retirement plans and business operations. Concurrently, I am on the Board of Directors of the Carmel Public Library Foundation and am a member of the Financial Planning Association. Previously, I was Group Vice President of the Investment Counselor department at Fisher Investments overseeing $20 billion in client assets, and prior to that was a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.
I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM)
(CFP®) designation, received a certificate in financial planning from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a B.A. in Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
