Team Spotlight: Allison Barrientos
We hope you enjoy getting to know Integris Team Member Allison Barrientos a bit more from a recent sit down we had with her.

During the day, Allison is an Advisor, our Chief Advisory Officer, and a Partner at Integris. In addition to providing advice to clients, she oversees the advisory group and all financial advice provided by the firm. When we asked about a memorable childhood experience, Allison recalls an annual family tradition where her family would camp at Big Basin Redwoods State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She camped the same week each summer and got to know other families who did the same. Allison loved exploring the creeks and hiking trails, picking wild olallieberries for pancakes, and hanging around the campfire for hours every night. It sparked a passion for nature and hiking (and olallieberries) that still exists for her today.
When discussing what she enjoys doing outside of Integris, Allison said she likes to hike the local trails with her husband and two boys. In the wintertime, they enjoy skiing. When time (and responsibilities) allow, she loves to travel as much as possible.

As for her bucket list, Allison’s bucket list is always changing, but she is currently dreaming about a heli-hiking trip in the Canadian Rockies.
To really see into someone’s soul you have to find out about their favorite forms of food and entertainment, which for Allison are:
Favorite movie: It doesn’t feel like Christmas if I don’t watch “Love Actually” at least once
Band: Jungle
Food: Lemon Meringue Pie
Book: Anything light and whimsical
Sports team: Warriors, Sharks
We asked about a funny quirk of Allison’s and she said, “I simply cannot relax if there are dishes in the sink. And it doesn’t matter whose sink – I will happily clean anyone’s dishes at the office, at home or at friend’s houses.”
In parting, we asked Allison for one piece of advice she would pass along, and she said, “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of progress. Take action now to shape your financial future. You can continue to optimize and refine your decisions along the way, but progress starts with the first step.”
