Team Spotlight: Erik Larsen
We hope you enjoy getting to know Integris Team Member Erik Larsen a bit more from a recent sit down we had with him.
By day, Erik is an Investment Associate at Integris, where he brings precision and care to portfolio monitoring, trading, and accounting. To learn more about Erik’s professional background, please click here: Integris Team Bios. To learn more about Erik outside of work, well, keep reading.
When asked about a memorable childhood experience, Erik fondly spoke of one summer when he was ten years old. He and his friends spent the whole summer trying to catch one big turtle at the neighborhood pond. It became their summer mission, and toward the end of the season, they finally caught it. Excited to show his dad, they loaded the turtle into the back of his mom’s station wagon. As they were driving, the turtle started climbing toward the backseat, and his mom was totally freaking out while the kids were cracking up in the back. It was definitely one of those childhood summer moments that sticks with you.
When discussing what he enjoys doing outside of Integris, Erik said he likes to watch his kids play hockey, go camping, spend time with family, and try out different restaurants for dinner.
As for his bucket list, Erik shared that he’d love to visit Malta someday. Whether it’s the crystal-clear waters, the rich history, or just the chance to explore somewhere new, it’s a trip he’s really looking forward to.
To really see into someone’s soul you have to find out about their favorite forms of food and entertainment, which for Erik are:
TV Series: Seinfeld
Band: Metallica
Food: Steak
Sports: Erik says he’s a fan of all the Detroit sports teams along with the University of Michigan football team.
When asked about a funny quirk his family would definitely agree with, Erik admitted he can’t stand popcorn. Not even the smell of it. Whether it’s at the movies or in the kitchen, if popcorn’s around, he’s heading the other way.
When asked for one final piece of advice, Erik shared, “Start your savings as early as you can and have a solid plan to follow.” His words serve as a powerful reminder that financial security begins with early action and thoughtful strategy.
