Team Spotlight: Tanya Stanberry
We hope you enjoy getting to know Integris Team Member Tanya Stanberry a bit more from a recent sit down we had with her.
During the day, Tanya is a Client Service Associate with Integris. She works closely with the firm’s Advisors to provide operational support to our clients. When we asked about a memorable childhood experience, Tanya said, “We used to get a lot of snow in upstate New York, and my dad would carve shelf seats into the snowdrifts for me and my sister. As an adult, I prefer to keep warm; I moved to California in my early 20s.”
When discussing what she enjoys doing outside of Integris, Tanya can often be found in art class. Her interests range from metal and wood sculpture to 3D art and technology.
As for a bucket list item, Tanya hopes to play a musical instrument. She is still searching for the right instrument though, as guitar and piano lessons didn’t quite stick.
To really see into someone’s soul you have to find out about their favorite TV series, music, food and book, which for Tanya are:
TV Series: Believe it or not, Tanya doesn’t watch television
Book: A recent favorite is “The Humans” by Matt Haig
Music: Lucinda Williams
Food: Anything with salt and fat
We asked about a funny quirk of Tanya’s, and it turns out she can be particular about her plate at meal times. If she has a plate of food with different items on it, she likes to eat a bit of each to keep the portion sizes similar.
In parting, we asked Tanya for one piece of advice she would pass along, and she said, “I’m old enough to have realized that many of the things I have spent time worrying about don’t matter in 5 years, so if I am fretting about anything I always ask myself if it will matter in 5 years, 5 months, 5 days?”
